Book Meme Days 15 -21
Day 15 - Your "comfort" book
When I am upset, I either go for something I have read many times, like Harry Pottter, something from the Herriot series, or one of my many books of collected cartoons such as Stone Soup, Peanuts, For Better or for Worse, Cathy, etc. It depends on why I need comforting which book I head for.
Day 16 - Favorite poem or collection of poetry
Favorite Poem - To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time by Robert Herrick, first stanza
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles today
Tomorrow will be dying.

My favorite collection - one I made myself in high school English. I had to read at least 20 off each list and include at least five in different categories. Mrs. Larsen jumpstarted both my love of poetry and the Beatles (but that's another entry)
I haven't looked at it in awhile, but I got the urge to read some poems while writing this *scurries off to read for an hour*, and I think I remember being in there:

James Herriot's Cat Stories
Day 18 - Favorite beginning scene in a book
Probably the first scene from the first HP book. How often do you meet so many of the major characters all at once and it doesn't seem contrived? Within a few pages and without changing location we meet McGonagall, Dumbledore, Hagrid, Harry, The Dursleys, and we hear about Sirius and the motorbike. And I've always loved the visual of a cat reading a map :)
Day 19 - Favorite book cover (bonus points for posting an image!)
I don't really have a favorite, but I love books with the old pen and ink illustrations, and some of those have some amazing covers too. I love the illustrator of the Harry Potter series, but most of my dust covers have fallen apart for overuse.
Day 20 - Favorite kiss
Don't really hae one.
Day 21 - Favorite romantic/sexual relationship (including asexual romantic relationships)
Harry/Hermione - I just wish that they had figured it out. I hate the epilogue.
