Well I finally made it back to Argentina. Now I never want to leave. I have been here for almost a week. On Monday Pili and her mom picked me up at the airport. Awww it was so sweet Ivett came to the surprised me at the airport in Litte Rock to say goodbye. It was so sweet. I cried. I was totally fine about leaving until I saw her. She brought Romancito with her. It was his birthday. I can´t believe he is a year old.
Isn´t he cute?
When I got on the plane I was really sad. I almost didn´t get to say goodbye to Manda, but she called just before the plane took off which made the stewardess really happy buy oh well. I couldn´t sleep throughout the whole flight because people kept coming around asking if I was buckled. Jeez.
The View from the plane as we were about to land was really pretty.
So, yeah that was probably the point when I wasn´t supposed to have my camera on...
As soon as I stepped off the plane and smelled Argentina I was fine. Maybe that so9unds strange but different countries totally have different smells. I really like the way that Argentina smells. We went to a really good Italian place and I had ravolis filled with pumpkin. Has anyone ever heard of this? I hadn't. They turned out to be really good. We also had peach champaigne. Yumness.
Tuesday I went into the city with Pili. While she was at class I went to a cafe for Tea. Since I had said very little I had the waitor fooled into thinking that I was from around there. Unfortunately before I left I asked where the bathroom was and I have absolutely no idea what he said. Instead of asking for clarification and letting on that I was a dumb girl from the US I walked about ten blocks to a Burger King. Then I went shopping. I was totally proud of my solo shopping adventure. Aside from one brush with a creepy guy everything went really well. I met Fati for tea later. It was so great to see her. I can´t believe it has been four years. It really felt like it hadn´t been that long. We just kinda picked up where we left off. It was really nice. Her dad met us and drove us to her house for dinner.
On Wednesday I went into the city again with Pili. I sat in on her Portugese class. They definitely were laughing at me. I don{t really speak Portugese but I do know my name...and it really isn´t hard to tell when people are laughing at you.
Ok Pili is hovering so I am guessing that she wants the computer pretty bad. More later plus pics.
