Naruto gen always gives me a hole in my gut.

I think I liked the Sandaime bit best; mostly because it explored his decisioin to return as Hokage and his relationship to Naruto via the village. And strangely enough, I really liked the Sasuke and Neji pieces too. Sasuke, because of the change wrought on Konoha that's not normally explored, and Neji, because of the layers within layers in being a Hyuuga. =) Loved it!

I have a real soft spot for Sandaime, since he's so awesome (and unloved). I think Sasuke probably was a victim of Itachi's in more ways than one.

Glad you liked - though why does gen affect you so, if I may ask?

While romance/pairings are lovely and all, gen tends to focus (for me, anyways) on issues that are less explored (or not explored at all). =) Also, for the majority of the gen I've read, I've liked almost every single one. Which is very different from my reactions to fics based on pairings, which can create a mixed reaction.

So, so brilliant! Each part was a revelation; you made me see some of these characters in a whole new light.

Thanks, it was a struggle for a couple of them (Lee! Tenten!)

Yes. I love all of them. Every single one has a line that *sticks*, and

Shino learns not to touch anyone.

omg, YES. This is what it's like to be a child, a product, of a Naruto ninja village.

I liked the Shino one, how it turned out. There's such a sense of isolation about him.

Glad you liked.

This was amazing, each one was perfectly crafted and you tailored the insights to each character, while still maintaining an overall theme/style. I honestly don't think I could pick out a single favorite, because each of them has something that hit me hard. Every single one ends on an incredible line that reveals something most people would never even think about.

(Chouji's just floored me the most, I think. For all that Ino's was perfect or that Sandaime's was fantastic or that I've long held the pet theory that Sasuke was deliberately held back because they saw what happened to Itachi, Chouji's was just... brilliant. Wow.)

Chouji was one of the last ones I wrote, but I JUST finished rewatching his battle against Jiroubou, so I was in a mood for him. I'm very glad you enjoyed this, and I still blame you for getting me into this fandom.
