Definitely not a romance one can place ina box! I don't watch Glee, have only the vaguest idea of the characters involved, but this has me hooked. I can't wait to see what would happen next, how they would decide. And is Mr Schue going to come back? Because Glee is such a support for both Quinn and Kurt...

Thank you! I'm kind of regretting putting "romance" in the summary, because the further I get into the fic, the more I am convinced this is not a romance. ^_~ But it's still interesting to me (and hopefully the readers).

Mr. Schue will be back, but that might not be a good thing.

Actually, this story reminds me of the movie Juno - it's exploring many similar issues, even though the prinicpal characters are making very different cchoices. Kurt is also a lot more involved, and Quinn a lot more academically focused.

I never saw Juno. I keep meaning to, but I don't really have the patience to catch up on all the films I'm behind on...

This piece tends to get two reactions - people who find it believable and people who find it out of the realm of possibility. I like to think that after the "Set Up," both Quinn and Kurt react to their situations in a believable fashion. Kurt is so freaking internal that it's hard to write him. I draft notes about what he's really up to, and what Quinn is perceiving... they might as well be living on different planets. Quinn is a very self-centered, unreliable narrator.

I'm glad you're enjoying this, and yes, it's about the character development. The Kurt and Quinn in this fic are diverging quite a bit from their canon counterparts by now - I think some of the essentials are remaining the same, but they're going to wind up very different people.

I'm working on the next part, but I'm not holding out hopes for too soon - work just cranked back up again. Sigh. Deadlines suck.
