*g* Oh cats, always so delightfully ambiguous. Poor Haku. It's kind of hilarious how he brings down an entire computer system (and then every electronic within the vicinity).

Chihiro and Haku interactions are much love. :D They just fit together so well.

It's been a while since I watched Spirited Away. You've caught the mixture of mundane life and symbolic spirituality that pervaded that work, all in a new and fascinating context.

Thank you! We are trying to invert Spirited Away, sort of, since this is about a spirit's journey through our world.

I worked at a library about 10 years ago, just when they were making the transition to electronic systems.

I'm glad you like the cat spirit, since he's kind of a main character in Kohaku's life now.

I get the feeling that the Dragon Lady is more than she appears. I hope she is!

Thoroughly amused by the computer breakdowns in the beginning. Not only did the whole system fall apart, but in such a hilarious and personalised fashion~!

I was just thinking about how the face of libraries might change in the technological age only yesterday, so reading this today felt especially poignant. A dying god, or an echo of a god... :( Tugged at the heartstrings. You've captured the mood so well - the scene when they left the silent library, I could picture it so clearly in my mind.

It was nice to read some introspection about Haku's lost river, too. Of everything in Spirited Away, I wanted to know more about that. And the empathy it gave him for the library spirit, fuelling his hesitation in the matter... that's an exchange I'm looking forward to.

Haku's little revelation at the end was great. I'm very much looking forward to what he comes up with.

YES! We had so much fun on thinking on how computers might "react" to Haku (my personal favorite is the Miyazaki reference...). But Haku is a water spirit, and water and electronics usually don't mix well.

There's something nostalgic about libraries. I think they're shifting in focus to electronic media (my city's library is a busy, busy place) and away from books. I love them, but they're going to be different in the future.

There's more about his river and his loss coming up. Hopefully it appeases that desire for you.

<3 Please be patient with us, since the next part will be out in six days. ^_~
