177 weeks later

Apparently, it's been 177 weeks since my last post here.  Well.  I don't know what that says about me other than that I'm not the most prolific writer (stop laughing, really!  It's not that bad, it's only been more than, well...three years.  Ok, laugh away!).

I don't think many people see this journal other than a few people wondering who this person is commenting on their stories, and a few of my real life friends.  But those people might be curious, so I thought I'd reward their interest.

I do use this journal; I just don't write in it.  I use it for my friends page, where I collect authors and communities I want to follow.

I started this journal for the Harry Potter fandom, so that I could join communities and friend authors without getting everything mixed in with my personal journal, which I really use to read my friends' journals, as I don't update that one very often either.  More often than this one, though, not that that's difficult!  At the time, I shipped Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione, and by the end of the series Remus/Tonks and at other times occasionally got a bit more risqué with Trio, Harry/Ron, and Remus/Sirius.  What can I say, I like love stories and romance.

I beta'd at Checkmated for a while until college took over my life, and generally lurked on most of the fanfic sites I read.  I can't stop reading fic long enough to update my journal, and I'm terrible at posting a review.  If I've friended your journal, it's probably because I love your fic!

I'm still keeping up with a few favorite HP authors, but not searching out as many new ones.  I'm more into the Doctor Who fandom now, focused on 10/Rose, or 9/Rose, and occasionally Dr/Rose/Jack.  I love Torchwood as well, but after last season I'm too sad to ship anyone.

I love fics where Rose and the Doctor get a happy ending, because I don't think that'll happen in canon.  The writers and producers like to torture us too much, and a happy ending means their show ends, which isn't going to happen.

In real life, at the moment I'm a student again, getting my Masters in Library and Information Science.  I'm hoping to work in a public library, at least at first, as a teen or children's librarian.  I read mainly kids and YA anyway, and I may as well put my encyclopedic knowledge of HP to good use!
