Some people are good at painting. I can only draw stick figures. Some people are good at dancing. I fall on my ass. And honestly, though I work hard and love Theatre Administration, there are always going to be people who do better than me at it. There's always someone who's smarter, faster, and better. You've just got to accept it, and know that if you're doing what you love, and doing it to the best of your ability, you're ahead of most people in this world. So consider yourself lucky, woman! :)
Everyone doubts their talents. It's natural. But, if nothing else, you're great at getting to know people and being a friendly, caring individual. And that may not be the academic excelling you'd wish for, but it's certainly a great quality that not a lot of people have.
Someone once told me: Not everyone has the same priorities, and not everyone is on the same timeline.
It's true. And about being mediocre, you're NOT. You're alot like me: you're your own worst enemy. Get out there and start doing what YOU want. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks, because thier opinion in the long run doesn't matter. This anomie, ennuie, whateva, happens when someone comes back from a REAL place, like London, or Greece, or hey, even home, which is more real than LFC. I'm a firm believer that God puts me where He wants me, so I don't get too upset when things don't pan out. :) You're going to be ok no matter what :), remember that.
Gwyn's right. You are far too lovely to feel mediocre. You are just what you were meant by God to be. (Trust me, I'm a expert on the subject...haha!) ;) I heart you, dear.
