Court
I went to court this morning in Middletown, well actually the town of Wallkill courthouse, which is in Middletown. The trooper dropped my charges down and I received only 2 points on my license, which is good in light of the potential 6 point total I would have received for my violations. Whenever I get into these situations I guess I can't help but think that I'll be the one deviation in the cop's day. I mean he deals with thousands of pleading teenagers every year, granted, but when I was talking to him I gave him one of those half puppy dog / half young businessman faces. Conveying with my body language that him giving me points on my license would hurt him as much as it would hurt me, kind of like a 'hey I'm your buddy, who likes tickets anyway?! let's kiss.' But it doesn't ever work like that, he did what cops do, and I did what teenagers do, and now I'm $100 poorer.
