I picked up a pair of suitcases today; a Swiss Army unit from Bentley for $90 and an Air Canada unit from The Bay for $80. The Swiss Army one feels better-designed but the Air Canada one is significantly lighter and both come with decade-long warranties. I was careful not to go with black so that I stand a decent chance of picking them off the conveyor belt at airports.
sarahdeguelph & I made lime meringue pies from scratch in the afternoon. It was my 1st time creating a pie shell from scratch. Apparently I'm a natural. My experiment with adding maple syrup to unsweetened condensed milk instead of using the sweetened kind didn't work as well as I'd hoped because I wasn't sure how much syrup to add. I undershot. Significantly. But the maple limeade I made turned out much better :-)
Today's iPod count was 24 - a new record.
