Morning dreams

My recall has been off, save for odd dreams I have in the morning after Dave leaves for work, or sometimes while he's still around. It's odd because I have trouble just falling asleep under normal circumstances, but I suppose some of what I experience is closer to microsleeps than anything else. It just seems like more time is passing than actually is since I go right into REM. Dunno. I don't have a clock on my side of the bed, which is OK, since I don't really need one as of yet.

Here's a random list of some such dreams:
  • Some Avatar: The Last Airbender dream in which Mai and Tylee were little children. Tylee was looking for something to set her apart from the rest of her siblings and I guess this was pre-"circus freak" days because she was working in a store or something. She and Mai had some scheme to steal pigs from a farmer. O...K...
  • Several dreams where my parents start yelling at me. It was about this time of year that Dave moved to Texas and I had relatives visiting, but despite that, I managed to spent New Year's Eve with him. I had a dream where I couldn't get to my parents to tell them what my plans were. At some point, I hopped into my mom's car for a short time just to tell her my plans. Not too long after, she and my dad exploded at me for every mistake I made including "bunking" with my cat. The only reason I remember that bit of dialogue was because of how strange it sounded. "Bunking?" Is that what you call it when someone's in the same bed as you? ;p It's quite strange about my cat, though: Even before she would show herself around Dave on a regular basis, she would often curl up between us at night. Well, she still does that, but she's OK with Dave now.

  • Dave usually says goodbye to me before he leaves and I'm typically not ready to get up yet, so he just comes to hug me. I had some dream where I woke up to find my mom hovering over me and yelling at me. I think it tied into a dream I had earlier that night because she was going on and on about me having to help with some sort of project she was teaching. Or something. I finally just started yelling at her to shut up.
And I think that'll do it.
