I'm really sick of Cairns. The town is a big tourist attraction and it gets old really fast. Tomorrow we're leaving to go to Port Douglas and I can hardly wait. Last night I went to the casino. It was ok, but I went with Penny who's older and I would like to be with the regular group more but Penny & Jess don't seem to want to hang out with them. I feel bad if I ditch them, but I want to get to know other people. The others in the group drink lke crazy which I don't want to do, but I want to have fun at the same time. It's a messed up situation. We went to Tjapukai yesterday which is the Aboriginal cultural center. It was ok, but that sort of stuff doesn't interest me as much.
I've been here for a week and I STILL haven't seen a fuckin kangaroo and I'm pissed! Tomorrow we get to see the koalas and hold them though, so that will be fun.
All my professor cares about is happy hour. We call him Big Al and sometimes Big Al Bundy. It's great.
I'm thinking about staying a few days longer to go to Brisbane and Sydney. We'll see.
