yesterday my father and i went on a mini road trip town to UofO...
i haven't decided yet, but i may be in love.
they campus is so so so beautiful.
it's like it's own city inside of eugene.
no joke.
you could get lost in there for days and never even miss seeing the outside world.
- also, i saw beautiful david. twice. i walked right past him, but seeing as he was with (presumably) his girlfriend, it's understandable he didn't notice me there.
that and the me-looking-at-the-ground-the-second-i-saw-him-coming thing.
it may be a sign.
- went on a special provate tour of the art facilities...
mmm.
it's like... a provate art school inside of a public university!
beautiful studios. spacious darkrooms.
paint splattered floors, art students in there in their day off, working on whatever.
at one point, a beautiful scruffy boy sanding a wookblock, lost in his own world with his headphones on, looked up at me with the kindest gentlest eyes i have ever seen, and he smiled.
- and there's a felafel stand right outside the bookstore!
- then when we were lost and helpless, trying to find the theater, we run in to peter-pan brittney. what a fotuitous turn of events! so since we couldn't find anybody else, she gladly told me everything i would need to know about the drama department. then she goes:
"oh yeah, and there are always a ton of students produced pieces too... actually, there's one starting in half an hour, it's free, if you're interested."
so we thought, what the hell. and so we watched it and it was by far the craziest weirdest most beautiful thing i have ever seen. something about these two roommates and one of them has this weird memoriy condition and keeps forgetting who his roommate is and thinking that he's like, an evil hill person or something and pulling his lightsaber on him. then it turns out their appartment is haunted and yada yada yada... i guess you kind of had to be there... but it was really cool.
then i came home, ate some baguette and watched some of all in the family, went to bed and crashed.
after a fitful night's sleep,
i wake up to a bright glimmering new day.
i love the way the world looks the morning after it's been raining like hell, and all of a sudden the sun is out and it's all so beautiful.
