Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat

Have you ever woken up to a bad omen?

Every morning my alarm plays the radio when it goes off. For the first few seconds I was actually psyched to get up, then I slowly realized which song the radio had lined up for me last morning, Gary Jules cover of Mad World. I just kinda thought, "you've got to be kidding me..." and flopped back down on my fish and just laid there with an empty mind while I blankly stared at the chemicals on the wall.

After finally willing myself out of bed (translation:accidentally rolled onto the floor) I went over to the race site for the 5K run that I was participated in. It was actually a gorgeous day with the perfect temperature for shorts and a shortsleeved shirt. For not running consistantly everyday, I did pretty damn well coming in as part of the top 15. The only sad part was that this ripped guy running with one of those jogging baby strollers passed me at one point. Things like that have a way of making you feel rather silly. I won the rad prize of a large pizza. Now help me out with the logic: You are physically fit enough to run a 5K efficiently, yet they give you something that is not exactly associated with a healthy diet...Good job Emory.

Later that afternoon I met up with my Kappa girls and somehow I was allowed to participate in the big Greek sports competition. I managed winning 2nd place in tennis! woohoo! I managed to get Chau to overcome her hatred of the Greeks to come eat BBQ with us while be serenaded by a godawful cover band.

I ended a good day by going to an evening of swing dancing, accompanied by a 40 piece band.

I guess this goes to show that omens can only be trusted so much....
