i am at home drinking wine and watching 30 rock on dvd.
A: What accessories do you wear everyday? my watch, a necklace (usually the blue one with my dad's ring on it, my red bird one, or this stone pendant my aunt got me years ago) and semi-regularly the ruby ring my parents got me for high school graduation
B: What is your beauty routine? i wash my face and use keihl's facial moisturizer. i wash my hair alternating between rusk shampoo and cheaper stuff from the drug store. i do all these things daily. i also get regular mani-pedis.
C: What was the last item of clothing (for yourself) that you purchased? short sleeve gray sweater from forever 21
D: Do you use a dresser, closet, or both? both.
E: What type of earrings are in your ears right now? none. i am constantly playing with the backs of my ears and losing them so i wear them rarely. when i do, it's usually studs.
F: What type of figure do you have (measurements)? i am short and super curvy.
G: Do you wear glasses? yes, although i usually wear contacts outside of the house. i love my glasses though and don't mind them to work occasionally. that usually only happens when i'm really tired or sick though.
H: What type of handbag do you carry? god, i have a ton. lately, i've just been carrying my black one from macy's. in the summer, i carried a big multi-colored striped bag. on weekends, i often use the smaller bags--a plain green one or my pink patterned fake vintagey one for parties.
I: What is your ideal style? i'm pretty casual although i've adulted up my outfits in the past year or so. i still mostly prefer cardigans with scarves and pants or skirts depending on the weather. i'm more likely to wear converse or flip flops rather than fancy shoes. i don't really have "going out" clothes. i don't understand that.
J: What is your favorite brand of jeans? ugh, i am in such a jean quandry these days. i have a pair of dark calvin klein skinny jean i bought on sale and LOVE but i wore them every day in grad school and now they are falling apart. i'm still on the search for the next awesome pair of jeans.
K: Do you wear knee-hi stockings? oh no.i wear knee-high boots a lot to work.
L: Do you *have* to wear matching lingerie? i'm not sure i ever have unless happening to wear black counts.
M: Do you wear makeup? if i have the time and energy in the morning which is probably two to three times a week. if so, it's just some powder (but not in the summer), eyeshadow and mascara. i carry chapstick and/or lip gloss with me depending which bag or jacket i have with me.
N: Do you wear nightgowns? i have a few short ones that i wear in the summer sometimes. but mostly i'm a tank top and shorts/sweats kind of girl. when it is cold, i also wear a hoodie to bed.
O: What outerwear do you put on when going out on a typical winters day? my red wool coat from four years ago (one of many purchases that prove my idea of "expensive purchases" are almost always more than worth it. whichever scarf i'm currently a fan of (i have TONS), gloves shoved into my pockets if necessary and wool hat. if it's actual winter, i break out my puffy blue coat from my year in syracuse but it has to be absolutely frigid for that. i am keeping it in case i ever move someplace perpetually freezing again..
P: What is your favorite perfume? i'm still working through free samples i got years ago so it's safe to say i'm not into perfume.
Q: Is your motto "quality over quantity" when it comes to clothing and accessories? not really. i was raised by the world's cheapest woman (ex: she called last weekend after having bought two pairs of dress pants at the gap for a combined cost of $103 and left me a five minute message justifying her purchase. this is a woman who has a full-time decent-paying job, a pension and a lot of money in retirement. she only goes to matinee movies so she can save $2.). it clearly had an influence. i will splurge sometimes for bigger ticket items (coats, suits, jeans, pretty much anything i'll wear A LOT) but i most often shop at target, forever 21, h&m, the gap and department stores in pennsylvania. the quality varies.
R: Do you wear rain boots? i like to. i need to buy a new pair but i am currently debating how much it a reasonable amount to spend out them. (see above)
S: Do you wear socks or slippers when your feet get cold? slippers, my mom has bought me a bunch for previous holiday gifts.
T: Do you have a set of travel luggage? i have a rolling suitcase for longer trips but more often than not i just take my northface.
U: What is your daily uniform? weekday: dress pants or skirt, shirt (some button down but often flimsier semi-nice tees), cardigan/blazer/shorter jacket. lots of dresses (like pjs but fancy!). heels/boots/my new awesome blue flats. our conference rooms are cold so i'm often sporting a scarf. that also helps to hide the cleavage. weekend: jeans/cords, shirt, cardigan, sneakers or boots.
V: If you are married, did you wear a veil with your wedding dress? i am not married. maybe. i kind of doubt it but i wouldn't rule it out completely.
