Christmas Memories of the past..
I remember my Dad (a single father of three) would stay up half the night wrapping our presents on Christmas Eve after we went to bed. At the time I didn't appreciate how much work that was. Christmas morning Joe and Josh would crawl into bed with me and wait till the sun came up, then we would wait in the living room for dad to wake up, he would be sleeping on the couch. One year we scared the crap out of him because he opened his eyes Christmas morning and the three of us we sitting a couple feet from his face wide eyed and staring at him. I guess you had to be there, but it was funny. The first sight of our Christmas tree over flowing with gifts on Christmas morning still excites me. Dad always went all out. There was barely room to walk in the living room.
The last few years Ed and I have had a nice tradition of spending Christmas Eve with Dad and his family. Christmas Morning with Mom, but no one on her side ever wants to get together with us. They are weird. Then Christmas Dinner we spend with Ed's Parents, once again his family doesn't join us or ask us to join them. Weird, but oh well. I love that my dad's side of the family make the effort to be together.
I've got fond memories this year already of singing "Baby It's Cold Outside" with Ena. Sometimes we would take turns and sing it to each other. I'd sing the guy part and she'd sing the girl part and then we would switch. I adore her.
