It was only a small pedestal...
It's always a little strange and disappointing to find out someone you had on the slightest of pedastals not only fell off and was only human, but fell off and came out kind of sub-human. *sigh*
An assistant manager at my store was arrested yesterday? morning for theft. 1. **** (* = name) ****?! No F-in Way. Not that only mean people are crooks, but, dude, he was *SERIOUSLY* a nice guy. A manager that actually *TALKED* to me. Ok, so it was only chit chat b.s., but hey, it was more than any of the other managers happend to do. 2. He was the guy that interviewed me for this job!! You don't think the guy interviewing you is a criminal, usually. 3. MANAGER = SALARY!!! I doubt he was that hard up that he had to steal. 4. He's been with the company for at least two years!
I don't know. It was just kind of mind blowing.
It's kind of disappointing really. Not only am I disappointed in him, I'm kind of disappointed in myself for not being that good of a judge of character.
You know, I really found it strange the other day when I smiled and said hi and he just looked down and kept walking. (He usually said hi back, the 2 times a month I saw him in the admin. halls) I thought it was something I had done. Maybe he had a guilty conscience?
Or maybe I'm still reading too much into him not acknowledging me in the hall.
Too bad. I'll miss having him around, even for chit-chat b.s.
....In other news, of no consequence to anyone:
-Cavaties have been drilled and filled
-Hours have been cut (will slightly increase in a couple of weeks, but still less than what I was doing. Not sure what I can do about it, or *what* I will do about it.
-HAIR has been cut(it sadly looked like a couple of long haired pomeranians on the floor after my hair was swept into a pile. Or, you know, several bad toupees in a clump.) The hair that is left on my head, I do like though. :o)
Note to self: Keep up hair maintenance.
CDs and books came in the mail. Now I have something to do with all my days off now. :oS
