I strongly believe that every person has something to be ashamed of or is regretful for doing in his or her past. Those people who dwell on those bad things, I think, show that they have character for wanting things to be different. I'm also a firm believer in a brighter future. I think that great things in life can happen to cast a shadow over past regrets--not eliminating the event(s), but not letting it/them control you.
There's something hopeful in the future for everyone, if only everyone looked hard enough. Something good. Something loving. Something exciting. Something different. Something understanding. Something fabulous. Something to help you get through the rough patches in life.
Just look for it.
