My degree is in striking distance now. I have to CLEP the two intro-level U.S. History courses, then in the fall I have the following schedule:
British Lit. I: MWF, 1:25-2:10
Colonial Era: MWF, 2:20-3:15
Latin Drama: MW, 3:25-5:00
Intro to Film: online
I was originally going to take the INFINITELY more interesting Philosophy class, "The Battle of God," but it’s Monday evenings, 5:00-8:00, and apparently that counts as a time conflict in the registration system - one of the few things you can’t work around with a signed form. So Intro to Film it is - and that’s fine. It’s probably less work; less mental heavy lifting, as it were.
So... we’ll see what happens, but as of right now I am 100% on-track for a December 2008 graduation. Then it’s 5-6 months off, then (if all goes according to plan) I’m bound for Lexington, KY to get my MATWL (Master of Arts in Teaching World Languages) at UK. That said, I’ve found it is often pointless, or even pernicious, to gaze so far into the future. It does not do to fix one’s eyes on the horizon and then trip over an imaginary deceased turtle.
