a first date

oh hai livejournal.. how have you been? i never update this thing anymore.

so let me tell you all about this little first date i had the other night.

i met this guy online and we'd messaged back and forth a couple times. so he asked me if i wanted to meet up about a week and a half ago. i said yes and he said he'd call me to hammer out the details the day before.

well the day before i was at the david cook concert and didnt get his message till 1130pm-ish and didnt want to be rude and possibly wake him up, so i texted him the next day. he said when he didnt hear back from me he made plans with other friends. sad story, i know. a few days later he asked if i was free and i was, so we made plans to go out to dinner.

he showed up at 8pm to pick me up. when we got to his car he totally opened the car door for me and closed it once i was in. for real? it was a really sweet moment that i dont think happens enough with guys anymore.

we went to dinner at my big fat greek restaurant and he refused to let me pay any/all of the bill.. insisting that he "had asked me out." we ended up talking so much we were there after the place had closed and they kept walking around us waiting for us to leave haha.

as we were going back to the car he asked if i was ready to go home or if i wanted to go out for some drinks. of course, i said drinks would be great! he took me to an irish pub closer to where we live (he lives pretty close to where i do) and we had some beers and talked some more. finally, around 12:30 we decided to call a night, and i snuck my credit card to the server to make sure he didnt pay for BOTH places.

then he drove me home, walked me to the door and we totally had a quick little goodnight kiss.

since i live with two girls, when i told them this story they got all mushy and ooohed and aahed over a couple parts.

someone asked me to put this on lj, so here it is. hahaha. it was great. and we have a second date tomorrow.. im taking him to the cardinals/seahawks game. whoohoo!
