I am quite... relieved, having received my school letter.
In accordance to my letter of request, sent to the headmaster, I am no longer a prefect. This is a welcome discovery, to say the least, as it will leave me a great deal more time to focus on my studies. I have no idea why I was handed a prefect's badge at the end of the year, though I could assume that it was out of some sort of... pity, on the part of the headmaster. Perhaps a desire to get me... involved.

While it will be disappointing to not have a chance to exercise any powers over the other students, it is also quite nice to know that there will be no need for me to pretend to actually care about any of the younger students.

I suppose I will have to venture out, and down to Diagon Alley, to purchase school supplies. This isn't entirely terrible, as I could use a stop in Knockturn Alley.. many of my best ingredients are depleted, and I've heard of a few new... books that I believe I would find quite interesting.
