Mother's Day
Of course it's the Friday before Mother's Day and I haven't gotten anything for Gram. Again. Grated, it's a lot harder when you're stuck in the house by a little electronic monitor, but it still isn't a good excuse. So, while I was sitting here crocheting, something popped into my head...
While we honor all our mothers
with words of love and praise,
while we tell about their goodness
and their kind and loving ways,
we should also think of Grandma,
she's a mother too, you see...
for she mothered my dear mother
and she also mothers me.
I want to press some flowers and gloss them onto a paper with this poem on it. Maybe add some glitter of a matching color and put it in a neat little frame. I think she would like that.
