I knew this was going to happen, but anyway not the point.
The point is that I want to read a story. A story about a person who is in an established relationship, but the significant other is taken away (kidnapped/taken to the underworld/run away, what have you) and the remainder goes on a quest to find them and is tempted along the way. The remainder may or may not fall for the temptation (more angst if they do) and they find significant other, more conflict ensues for what ever reason (significant other has change dramatically etc) and there is no happy ending, but there is a fulfilling conclusion to the story.
Can anyone recommend me a book?
I also want to write a story about people being addictions and the way a person can ruin another. I want to write about obession, and the slow burn inside. I want to write a story with thick atmosphere and heaviness. I want to write about knowing another person is completely and utterly wrong for you, but knowing that they're the only person who can make you feel alive. I want to write a destructive love story. I want to write about vampires.
The thing is, I don't have any characters inside my head to write this with. None at all.
