There's battlescars on all my guitars, but still I come out here and play
For some reason I feel pretty weird and in a crappy mood right now... I don't really know why... I went to greenville last night, saw Kari, had an awesome night and a pretty good day today... but for some reason, i'm just not in a good mood right now.
Kari and I saw Wedding Crashers last night, it was hilarious! I don't think I've laughed that hard at a movie since I saw Old School... or Anchorman in theatres. We ate at Andy's before that which was also great... Brad was working so he gave me a double cheeseburger... it was excellent! After the movie we just went back to my place and consumed a few college drinks with Brad and Mark... which was a good time. It was a very relaxing night... something I needed really badly. I moved all my stuff out of my room today and turned in my keys... which felt weird... kinda depressing... even though I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there, I still had a lot of good times there and I am gonna miss parts of it... obviously not the constantly messy apartment... but it was usually a good time living there.
I downloaded 2 Ozma cd's the other day... for some reason when they opened for Weezer I didn't really like them that much... but now that I listened to them I couldn't understand why I didn't like them... They sound more like Weezer than Weezer does!!!! Seriously... they sound exactly like what the Green Album was supposed to be... a perfect mix between the Blue Album and Pinkerton and something new... they sound amazing! The singer even sounds like Rivers from Weezer!!!! Their guitars have that same crunchy fuzzy overdriven sound... and they have a bunch of crazy-cool synth lines in their songs... they even have a few songs that have that same geeky subject value and sound of the Blue Album! And they have that kickass cover of the Tetris theme song! I've been listening to these two cd's almost constantly the past couple weeks. I also downloaded Fall Out Boy's cd "From under the cork tree" on iTunes, and I really like that too... really poppy and catchy... I love it. And the fact that their name is a kickass Simpsons reference just makes them that much more awesome!
I love my new guitar... I've been coming up with some cool new stuff... but still having the same problems... coming up with a few parts and then not being able to finish them... one day i'll sit down and finish them hopefully... we'll see.
Well I got out of the shower about an ahour and a half ago and am still sitting here in my towel... so it's about time for me to change... and maybe go to bed...
