They go back home, usually. At least that's normally what happens; that's what Zelda said happened when she came back after disappearing.

I don't know about Tom, though, since he died and just ... didn't come back...

Maybe. I hope so. Claire was telling me he was a good man, even if he had his issues.

And that'd be great. We can use all the help we can get, just in case something else like this happens... or the Crimson King sends people again.
