I mean, the difference between fate and destiny - I'm sorry, miss, that's what I thought you meant. I don't think the gods put us here, I think we just ... ended up here, somehow.
And, um. It's definitely not nicer than my world. What's your world like then?
Oh, I see. No, fate and destiny are the same, you're right. But being someone's toys is just really screwed up.
A nuclear wasteland, basically. You know those Mirelurks and Death Claws and the roaches? They're from where I live. Those are commonplace in the Wastes. What's your place like?
... a nuclear wasteland? That's horrible. I'm so sorry, miss -- um, what's your name?
I guess this is better compared to that. My home's peaceful and quiet, other than Team Galactic, and we have Pokemon -- they're monsters sort of like your Mirelurks and Deathclaws, but not as vicious and mean, and trainable when you catch them in Pokeballs -- to help us, all sorts of Pokemon that can do different things for us.
It's ... much nicer than here. I'm sorry, that wasn't very helpful, was it?
See, now that just sounds like heaven. I can't tell you the last time I had clean water, or a real meal that wasn't at least a little irradiated.
You guys have to toughen up, is all. You'd be dead in my world, especially if most of the people here couldn't use their magic or whatever else. I can't believe I even said 'magic'.
We're not used to stuff like that in Sinnoh. We almost always have clean water, and good food that's warm, and ... I can't imagine what it's like where you're from, if things are like that. And people do toughen up, here - I don't like it here, but I can deal with it.
And what's wrong with magic, miss Eve? I'm Rion, by the way. :)
I know people can toughen up, but I keep hearing complaints from people who have been here for months. And it's good that you want to keep going. Giving up is worse than dying.
Eve's fine, Rion. It's good to meet you. There's just no such thing as magic in my world.
Just because we do get used to it doesn't make it any more fun. I still miss PokeCenters, and being able to make sure they're all healed up, or being able to get a soda. It's not like we can't deal with this, we just don't... want to be here.
And there's no such thing as magic where I'm from, but some people think my Pokemon's powers are magic...
I don't know how to use a gun - I mean, we have farms and stuff where we grow food. We don't need to catch it, but if we did, I guess we could use our Pokemon for that, too.
[Yes, Eve, the Pokemon world is very Pokemon-reliant.]
[The video flicks on a moment, to reveal Rion - in his five foot tall, tiny, flaily, doesn't-look-sixteen glory, and then, after a few seconds (and him waving at the camera), it flips off.

And you know, Gods or not, this place is really nice in comparison to my own world. I don't know why people keep complaining.

Huh, interesting. Never seen one myself, but still. You know how to use a gun, then? Or how do people catch food in your world?

Pretend you don't have Pokemon. What would you do?
