You would be surprised how many women don't wash their hands after they use the restroom. I know this because sometimes I hang out in the last stall--the larger, handicapped one (which I can do without guilt b/c we don't have anyone in a wheelchair here, otherwise I wouldn't use it). I like it because the door stays closed by itself, and it's so spacious that no one knows if anyone is in there unless they squat and look for feet. So, much to my chagrin I am privy to some information that I would rather not be, by virtue of hiding out waiting for people to leave. Like all the people who don't wash their hands! I thought we were way past that. Aren't we? Isn't it like, the #1 thing you can do to ensure you don't get sick and/or spread germs? Am I being a prude here? The worst is when I know who it is. Like, they are just leaving and someone says, "Hi, ________!" And then my impression of them is ruined. Or, at least, I am never gonna shake their hand!
