I have done a vid on a MAC. It's actually a bit easier than working on a PC but it also requires, naturally, different software.
MPEG streamclip is where you start. That is what allows you to change the format of your DVD and cut up and export clips.
Then you need an editor. iMovie comes with Mac, as you know, but I don't know how to work it. I find it absolutely CONFOUNDING because of it's single track editing and it has a very limited array of tools.
Thank you! :) I think MPEG streamclip is what I've been missing. I could never figure out how to cut up clips so that I didn't have to work with 46 minutes of footage at a time!
I've never tried using iMovie, either, but.. it's meant to be simple, right? *hopes*
