we finally got to talk for a decent amount of time- almost two hours! there can never be enough, but we got to get a lot of things ironed out. She hates how her parents don't do anything and it frustrates her and gets her so down. I asked her if they even try, and if it would be easier for her if they did. She said they don't, and that it would. So it is a matter of her needing me to simply put forth an effort. i reaffirmed that i have and will. she told me she had gotten the impression that i had given up. i have, in many ways. i told her i'm trying not to. so we got to get all the major problems figured out, and got to catch up on things, and it was a really nice time. now i'm actually pretty encouraged.
