Well, I'm in my own body, which seems to be more than a lot of people can say this week.

[pause] A friend of mine just left, though, for the second time. And - I know what he's going back to. It's hard to deal with again.

[Sokka is lucky enough to be in-between bodies right now. A frown tugs at his features.]

I'm sorry, I know how hard it can be. Is there-- is there anything I can do? I have food, firewood, a pretty good ear for listening...

He's dead back home. Every time he leaves, it's like losing him again.

[Sokka notices the filter and it only makes him frown a little more.]

That's... terrible. You were close?

I loved him. I still do. He never returned the sentiment, but he knew about it.

[Haha, Sokka spared not his canonmates with regard to the future. Still, her statement makes him wince. That's rough, buddy; in a way, the young man can relate.]

Did he always know? Or did you tell him recently?

Just recently - I sort of blurted it out after he died and our boss brought him back to life.

[Tosh's life, it is weird.]

Ouch. For what it's worth, a lot of people think it's better not to be romantically involved here... [Of course, Sokka was not one of them, but... and really, how is that supposed to make her feel better?]

If you're looking for company, I make a tasty piece of fish. We could have dinner some time.

Yeah, well, I'd like to actually have the choice, instead of having it taken from me repeatedly.
