So I went to the Michigan Ren Fest today and had a lovely time. The weather threatened to turn crappy, but didn't do so until I was leaving. I got some research done for the cast molding idea. I saw plenty of people that I hadn't seen for forever and a day and that I missed without even knowing it. In fact, watching the Confessors at the Jail at work made me ache something fierce for back when I worked Dueling Buckets. This ache was made only more prominent by the fact that they demolished the stage that Buckets used and moved King's Joust to over by the Joust grounds.
But I was also pricing a few shopping purchases. Then I had an idea. I'm going back to MRF the weekend before my birthday, and if anyone was planning on buying me a gift this year, I plead with you to simply donate to my garb fund. It would mean a ton to me and be useful in that I would have garb and be able to put more money towards those bill things while not hating life.
In other news, my job selling credit card processing goes... well. I'm already the top salesman there over one month and have more deals this month than anyone has had in a month all year. The boss signed us on as 1099 employees, but legally we're really not. He sets our schedule, our place of work (which is a no no if the job isn't something like installation or something location specific thing), pays us by salary (instead of just by project) and provides all the leads and equipment. We're told it's so he can pay us more, but it's so he doesn't have to pay things like unemployment insurance, medicare and SS on us. He likes to make up more rules and such as we go along which is of the suck.
