Two positive notes...
First off, I've been reading Phillip Pullman's Golden Compass. It is -very- good. I really like all of the characters and the mix of "real life" and fantasy is very good.
Next, "Nextwave, Agents of H.A.T.E." is a new comic I picked up this afternoon. It uses a whole bunch of obscure Marvel characters in a very funny team effort. Just as a note, it's subtitle is "Healing America by beating people up". Priceless. Warren Ellis, why do you have to be so damned funny?
