Title: Ditched
Pairing/Character: Sylar/Elle, Noah

Summary: Baby Noah never manifests.
A/N: Written for the Sylar/Elle Fic Fest II
"How can a kid of ours not have any powers?"
"I don't know."
"Well, aren't you supposed to be smart? Intuitive aptitude and all that? So you understand immediately what's going on? Didn't study up on genetics?"
"Not like genetics exactly covered special abilities, Elle."
"I don't want a kid that doesn't have any abilities."
"So what are you suggesting?"
Elle shrugged. "Ditch the kid somewhere. Make some sort of anonymous call to Peter or Glasses. I'm sure they'd rescue a random kid off the street. At least, Peter will. He's the perfect Boy Scout afterall."
Sylar mulled this over. When Elle had first announced her pregnancy, he felt like he had been punched in the gut. But he had grown to enjoy the idea. The idea of his own offspring that might have powers beyond either him or Elle's. Someone to carry on their genes and their legacy. But after their son was born, they both watched him expectantly, waiting for any abilities to emerge. But none had and that greatly disappointed both him and Elle.
"Let's do it."

Sylar and Elle entered the diner with their son in his car seat. After being shown to a booth, they glanced at the menu in a perfunctory manner. Elle placed the car seat next to the wall and plugged a pacifier into little Noah's mouth to keep him quiet. A few minutes later, Elle gave Sylar a quick nod.
Elle stood up first and discreetly exited the diner. Once outside, she climbed into the car and started the engine. She drummed her fingers on the steering wheel as she waited for Sylar. Shortly after, she saw him exit the diner, his long limbs easily traveling longer distances than she could manage.
As soon as he got into the car, she looked over at him. "Nobody noticed?"
"Noah? No. They're all too busy wondering about the busboy with a deep forehead cut," he smirked.
"Good," Elle grinned as she threw the car into reverse. "Maybe we can try for another one. With abilities this time."
