For me, stories almost never start with a plot idea. Usually, a sentence or paragraph will pop into my head, and I'll craft a story around it. This is the latest--popped into my head late last night.
Rodney tried to sit up, but Ronon's hand on his chest kept him down.
"We have to go back," he said. "We have to--Ronon, let me--"
"We cannot go back, Rodney," Teyla said. There were tears in her eyes. "There is nothing to go back to."
(That was when he remembered.)
Problem is, I'm having trouble coming up with a story to go with it. I have, like, ten or twelve bits and pieces of SGA stories--mostly whumpy ones--floating around my computer, but I can't seem to complete them. ::sigh:: Maybe one of these days...
