Yeah. That's the best of their stuff but you can't go wrong with Zeppelin. They rock.

...there is a certain undeniable lyricism to it, I must say. I hadn't thought to look to modern rock music.

Stick with the late 70's early 80's. Zeppelin, Metallica, Three Dog Night, AC/DC, CCR. Occasionally some early Bon Jovi
