I always fear endings such as these. I don't know why but it takes me a few moments to remember that this is just fiction and the crew don't really exist and I don't really need to get upset at the idea of Serenity grounded for good and the crew dying sad lonely deaths. Curse you for ripping my heart to shreds.

Oh, oh, just a perfect ending. Perfect in that quiet rip out your heart sort of way. Especially because these two are hardly ever written together, such different personalities, and yet their connection just shows how much that crew meant to each other.

think Serenity was only hanging on for Mal; I don't think I'll be able to keep her going. Absolutely beautiful image.
