hounds of love

i realized that i haven't posted in a while. so i shall post now.

driving to work this morning i heard a song - hide and seek by imogen heap. i got to work, downloaded the song, and proceeded to listen to it on repeat the whole. entire. day. i really like songs that have massive harmony. same reason i like the futureheads. i decided i wasn't going to listen to it anymore so that i dont ruin it. but as i am the sort of person to eat my dessert first, i just downloaded it and am listening to it again.

life life life life. i still love my car. it is one of the few things in my life that i have unequivocally committed to.

on the other hand we have my job. not that i'm going to be jobless any time soon, but i've positioned myself so i don't have to commit and instead get to serve as a consultant for 3-month contracts. the current contract has been extended twice, which is cool and all, but its nice to know that in a month's time i could be somewhere completely fresh and new.

in the relationship arena: i'm getting closer and closer to ending up in a serious relationship. but that's "serious" by russ' standards, meaning not actually serious. yes you can tell me that i need to grow up and start thinking like an adult. i can only respond by saying that i won't honor that comment with a response.

and the topic you've all been waiting for: my game. bowling, that is. a few weeks back i bowled my personal best of 201, and since then i've bowled a 180 and yesterday a 170. (i did mention i'm in a bowling league now, right?)

so now i'm headed out to meet up with the missus... today is her birthday and she got herself the present of a new tattoo. so i'm picking her up from the tattoo place and then we're going to see Ted Leo and the Pharmacists at the Showbox. excited am i.
