I think we are Mother Nature's perpetual PMS. If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes.

We have only 2 seasons: snow removal and road repair.

Hehehe, ah Michigan roads... As we dodged potholes, a Canadian friend of mine once asked what the government actually does with our tax money. Sigh... I wish I had a better answer than "They pay themselves."

"And now, a word from the President!
Damn it feels good to be a gangsta
Gettin voted into the White House
Everything lookin good to the people of the world
But the Mafia family is my boss
So every now and then I owe a favor gettin' down
like lettin' a big drug shipment through
And send 'em to the poor community
So we can bust you know who
So voters of the world keep supportin' me
And I promise to take you very far
Other leaders better not upset me
Or I'll send a million troops to die at war
To all you Republicans, that helped me win
I sincerely like to thank you
Cuz now I got the world swingin' from my nuts
And damn it feels good to be a gangsta"

And THAT is what my government does with my taxes.

I don't know that I believe all the conspiracy stuff, but of course you're free to have your own opinions. I certainly think that the government should be held to a higher standard of fiscal responsibility. A good start would be to end all deficit spending. Nice user icon by the way. Morpheus is cool.

Oh, I'm being a little glib. But I do believe that any politician who is ambitious enough to be president is motivated, at least in part, for personal gain. I believe that most politicians at that level have above average IQ's, despite popular opinion to the contrary. This makes for a deadly combination of ambition+power. I believe that many things happen behind closed doors that would outrage the nation, and I have no reason NOT to believe it. Also, apparently fiscal responsibility is not in the Washington vocabulary, because no one wants to risk their re-election by slashing funding to any program.

I wanna be Morpheus. He's got mad skills, no?
