"The moment George discovered that his pet dog was actually a rocket."

Well, the summer already seems to be flying by at a furious pace.
I now have an office job at Total Comfort.  It's far better than the typical high school job of flipping  greasy burgers.  Not that there's anything wrong with people who do that.  I just can't see myself withstanding the chaos.

Things seem to be falling into place with amazing accuracy.
God is working everything out.

Pirates III was definitely better than II, but I'm not sure if it was better than 1.  After being informed by a certain ninja about the particularly baffling abundance of plotlines in the movie, we took it upon ourselves after the film to name them all.  Jack's hat, the heart, the eye, the sword, Jack's nose, the peanut, the crabs, the tentacle, and so on and so forth.  It would have been a better movie had the ending been more satisfying.

Yesterday Braden and I met up for lunch at Casa.  It was good to talk.

This weekend, containing Tyler and Marie's wedding, was like a reunion of all those who have dispersed in the past year or so.  I saw John again, and Jennifer for the first time in at least 6 months, snd several other people I had not seen for ages,  a few of which now live somewheres far away, but most of which are still in Richmond.  Irony of ironies.  Still, it was good to see them.

Saturday we will be leaving for vacation- back to the Outer Banks.  It's always a good trip.  I'm looking forward to eating at Big Al's, if it still exists.  And the beach, of course.
