I do hate to alarm anyone - I know an awful lot of you are superstitious types - but on several occasions now I have spotted a large, rather menacing black dog loitering near the lighthouse. I tried to approach it last night, in case it was a familiar gone astray, but when I drew closer it was nowhere to be seen. Most peculiar. Still, I’m sure it’s just a stray. I mean, no one believes in all that ‘Grim’ nonsense, really, do they?
Well, it’s all go here. On with the announcements!
Attention First Year Students
Quidditch lessons will begin on Thursday, at Old Kippenross, by the main pitch. The class locations will alter depending on your age, ability and, of course, the all important weather. Please note that despite the altered circumstances, first years are NOT allowed their own brooms.
Quidditch Tryouts
By now, Quidditch captains should have been announced by your Head of House. Please could the four of you meet with the rest of your team to arrange tryouts for new members.
Quidditch for fun!
Attention ex-students, teachers and assorted hangers-on. Do you miss your jolly old schooldays, whizzing around on a broomstick? The healthy competition with other houses? The broken noses, the bruised ribs, the bludgers to the head? Of course you do! So I am tentatively putting together the idea of a Quidditch team for fun. Well, two teams, I suppose, as Quidditch simply isn’t worth it without someone to go up against. If you are interested, leave me a comment here, and I’ll arrange some tryouts to put you into teams. The format would work just like the house teams - regular practices, and approximately four matches a year. All abilities welcome - the more the merrier!
Locked to Filius and Pomona
Pomona and I have a secret. If you want in, meet me outside at ten tonight. Don’t let Sybil see you, whatever you do.
Locked to Sybil
Are you quite alright, dear? You’ve been looking particularly pale recently. I do hope you haven’t eaten or drunk anything that could have caused you illness - my pumpkin juice has tasted rather strange for weeks now. Perhaps it has started to ferment - and that can’t be good for you.
