PRIVATE: *evil cackle*

Private.

I do enjoy sitting back and letting drama erupt around me. Take the upcoming end of the quidditch season, for example. No two houses have ever thrown themselves into rivalry as much as Gryffindor and Slytherin do. Even their usually stoic Heads of House are at each others’ throats during the lead up to matches. My desk is littered with letters from the two houses (and more than a few from Minerva and Severus) complaining;
‘Malfoy stole our quaffle!’
‘Potter hexed my broomstick!’
‘We booked the pitch first!’
’We booked the pitch first!’
Of course, I give all these serious issues the attention they deserve. And then I file them away very carefully in the fireplace.

Oh, they’ll work it out among themselves, soon enough. While I would love to stay and ponder further on the fascinating conflict between Gryffindor and Slytherin, I have first years to teach. Oh, and wouldn’t it be just blissful if Victoria Cornerstone managed to stay on her broomstick today? She’s broken her arm five times already.

Since Easter.
