Off in La-la Land
Well, I'm still alive. I've been really busy with writing my monthly culinary article for Suite Magazine. This month was "Ode to Pumpkin" and I really enjoyed it. Next month is gonna take some time to write and December will be a breeze and fun. I've also been researching my birthday present my folks are gonna get me. A digital SLR camera. It looks like my budget will allow for me to get the Nikon D70 (or D70s if it clears customs and Wolf Camera is able to get one in stock) and two lenses. I'm planning on getting two Lexar 80X with Write Accelerator 512MB medias for it. The girl in the shop is recommending I go with Tamron digital lenses for Nikon instead of the Nikon DX lenses as they are just as good and cheaper by ~$200. Any digital photographers out there, I'd love your input. I'll probably get myself a new carrying case as my case for my old Sony Mavica MVC-CD 300 won't hold the Nikon, let alone the lenses as well. Oh, and my lab-group when I was at UNT doing research managed to somehow severely warp on of the center support struts on my tripod, so I'll prolly get the monopod too. Plus my old tripod was clunky and a pain in the arse. Anywho, post more on it later.
