Good news, everyone!
I just got a phone call from Bristol-Myers Squibb and I have officially been approved to receive, for one year (until I renew my application), my Abilify prescription for free. FREE. They'll send me my prescription through the mail every month.
That is $9,511.44 that I'll be saving for a year.
Holy crap, that's a lot of money I won't have to pay. And this is a gigantic weight that's been lifted from my shoulders. Since I'm unemployed and still living with my parents, I've felt like I'm a burden to them. They assure me that I'm not, but being dependent on them to pay for my extremely expensive medication just adds to that already difficult depression. Just because I know someone is totally supportive to me doesn't mean I have an easy time accepting it. Because, in my mind, I'm not worthy of their support.
So, being able to receive one of my most expensive medications for free from the company is more than just helpful to the wallet. It's also helping my peace of mind.
