Tomorrow is the day that our African Grey (Congo) parrot gets to come home. He's finally weaned off the liquid diet and ready to eat yummy fruits, vegetables, grains, and pretty much everything except avocados (which are basically poison to some parrots-and I have a slight allergy to them as well).

He's technically my dad's bird, but we plan on making sure he socializes with all of us so he won't have favorites. Coco, our Senegal parrot, doesn't really like my dad all that much. She bites the crap out of him. She used to do it to me (you should see my fingers) before we started taking her back to DJ Feathers Aviary to get her nails trimmed because I was the one who trimmed her claws. I'd done it for all our previous birds, but Senegal parrots know how to hold a grudge. She was pissed at me for over a year and then decided she liked me again.

This is our African Grey. We named him Gandalf for obvious reasons.
