Strangers

Very cool! And who said you shouldn't talk to strangers? A lot of times it's easy to get so wrapped in our own situation that we don't realize we are not alone in our trials. (Guilty of that here!) Your idea of getting out each day is wonderful. I'm thinking I should take a clue.

I used to be terrified to talk to strangers. Then I got a job at Suncoast in high school and ended up having looooong conversations with customers about movies. Hearing other stories and speaking with new people got me started on trying to do the same thing outside of work.

Suncoast went out of business in 2005, but I kept talking to new people as much as possible. I think it really helped me overcome my fear of public speaking during college as I never felt uncomforable during presentations or critiques.

Getting out of the house every day (well, not today because I refuse to change out of my pajamas on Christmas and I've almost finished this bottle of champagne) has really helped improve my mood. Even if I'm just driving in an aimless direction. It doesn't hurt that it's warm enough to roll down the windows. I highly recommend it.

That's how much you rock. Also - loved your "Christmas" pic on Twitter.

May the force be with you.
