Lo, after much too long, I have returned to my poor neglected web journals. Now for the updating!
§My online classes have been going pretty well so far. Not sure if I'm going to hit the double A mark that I need, though. I'l gonna keep going, however.
§In case I haven't told you over IM, I got a job at Subway on May 19th. ^_^ It's nothing too big, but I'm having fun with it so far. Plus, one of the guys there is a gamer, so I have someone to talk nerdy with when we're on the same shift.
§Speaking of May 19th, I saw Revenge of the Sith opening night with Ron and a few of his friends. Although some of it was kinda meh *coughmostofthesceneswithNataliePortmancough*, overall it was a pretty damn good movie. If you haven't seen it yet, remedy this as soon as you can.
§Been hanging out with Ron a decent bit, and have finally met some other folks down here. Steve and Joey are pretty cool guys, I must say. Although, Joey's gf isn't really into the gaming scene, so it's kinda hard to get Joey to swing by for the occasional game that Ron runs. *shrug* Such is life.
§I'm slowly but surely getting things figured out for Nationals. I'm having problems getting a hold of my shot records *grumbles*, so I called them yesterday and they said that as long I get my forms in in the next day or two, I should still be fine. I also need to figure out how I'm getting there, since the university is about two hours away from the nearest airport. *looks to Heather* What are your thoughts on getting a rental or something?
§Been talking with Ben a bit, although not nearly as much as I'd like to. I finally found an international calling card, but the damn thing doesn't work. *fumes* I've also decided that, as soon as I have the money for it, I'm going to go see him in Germany. No idea when I'll be going or for how long, but I really want to do it.
§Brianna's summer is volleyball-filled, as usual. She's had a few tournaments, but the two big things coming up are the Nationals in Salt Lake City the first week of July and the camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. If she makes the 12-man team at Colorado Springs, she'll be going to play in CHINA for about a week and a half. *grins* Awesome, huh?
§This year's trip to Jersey is going to be kinda special, because my grandfather is moving out of the house on the shore. It's just too big for him to take care of himself now. *sigh* I've got so many good memories about that house (and my Nana, who passed away...God, three summers ago?) that it's very odd to think about the fact that Poppop's not going to be in it anymore.
§While I'm in Jersey, I'm going to try to go to NYC for a day or two. I'm not sure what all we're going to be doing once we get to Jersey (decent bit of packing, I'll wager), but if I can, I really want to go and see El. *huggles Nora* Also, while I was watching the Tonys last Sunday (Go Spamalot! ^__^), I found out about a really interesting play called The Pillowman that I'd really like to go see. It's about an author in a totalitarian society who is being questioned about the bizarre short stories he writes; he's brought it because incidents strangely similar have been occuring in his town. I'm just just hoping it's still original cast by the time I get up there. *crosses fingers*
Hmm...*rereads post* I think that's about all of the major stuff that's happened since my last update. I'll try to keep it better updated, I promise. *wink* See you guys later.
Catch you on the flip side...
^_^ Caitlin
