Hey all. Just got back from a kick-ass weekend at Casa de Republic and I figured I should actually update my journal for a change. ;-) I'll start with Thursday, mainly cause...well, just 'cause.

Classes went well on Thursday (think I even did a decent job on my Greek quiz), then after killing a bit of time in Stroizer I headed over to the FAB to go see Oklahoma! It was AWESOME. The orchestra was awesome (Go Steph! ^__^), the actors did a great job, plus I finally got to see the beauty that is Austin. o.0 Lord almighty, that boy is HOT! Alas, he bats for the other team, so he's out of reach. *sigh*

Friday I met up with Heather and Dustin and snagged lunch, then went back to Cawthon and sang some songs from Avenue Q while Dustin played 'em on the piano. Was much fun indeed. ^__^ After that, I headed back to the dorm, did some laundry, then made my way to the Republic. I chilled there with Quincy for a while, then got a call from Mike asking if I was up for some karaoke. I said yes (of course) and he, Andrew and Dustin (really cool guys from game) swung by and got me before heading to Gill's Tavern on Monroe. I had a blast, as did everyone else. About an hour after we got there a group of people from Oklahoma! came in, and they were frelling awesome; they did one of the best version of "Seasons of Love" that I've ever heard, plus two of the guys came up and danced with me when I did "Mein Heir" from Cabaret. *grins* I <3 theater people. They rock. After Gill's closed at 2, we headed to Dustin's for a bit and chilled while the guys played Day of Reckoning on the Gamecube. We headed back to the Republic and I crashed on the floor.

Saturday morning Kris Jones called the apartment wondering if we wanted to snag some food before heading to his place in Wakeenah (just across the line into Jefferson County, IIRC) for his b-day party. We went to Decent Pizza (and it indeed is decent pizza), then Danny (Kris' younger brother) and I headed to his place; the other gents had to go snag something before heading over. Once we got to Kris' house, I sat with his parents (his mom and my mom worked together at Garnet and Gold, which I didn't know until about three years ago) and watched the Wake Forrest game. After a bit, Kris, Mike and Matt showed up and we played Star Wars Battlegrounds for a while.

Once more people showed up, we got a fire started outside and spent most of the night talking about everything from WWII to what we'd do if the draft starts up again to education. All in all I'm glad I stayed instead of going to game. At about 2:30, Seam gave me, Mike and Matt a ride back to the Republic in his Jeep. It was a bit nippy from the wind, but it was cool talking with Sean about the start we could see through the roof.

Sunday was mostly spent doing my Greek homework, watching Mike play Star Ocean, listening to Quincy play Dragon Warrior on his computer, and just hanging out with the guys.

One more thing before I start working on my Mesoamerican Archaeology project (skipping Greek 'cause if I left now I'd be almost a half-hour late). I talked with Ben a bit on Friday and we have both decided that trying to keep the relationship going just won't work for various reasons, one being the distance. So, we're just gonna be good friends. I know that's gonna take a bit of getting used to, but we'd talked about this the last time he was in Tally. *slight smile* Anyone know any cute single guys in Tally?

Well, I've gotta split. See youse guys later.

Catch you on the flip side...

^_^ Caitlin
