Going to the beach....
In about 10 minutes I will officially be on vacation - beach week, if you will. Hopefully the rain will stay away. I leave tomorrow for OBX with a whole bunch of people - some of whom I know well and others I don't know quite as well. It should be fun. I'm just excited to get away, even if it rains and even though I can't do much more than lie on the beach. It's been a hard summer overall, but things have been picking up lately.
So I'll be at the Outer Banks until Wednesday and then I leave for the Frontline beach retreat the next day. I'm looking forward to catching up with Joel - and Brian and Jessi for that matter. I haven't seen much of them lately either. This is also the first year that I actually feel "in" with the Frontline staff. Not that I ever thought they didn't like me, but I always felt a little separate from them. This past year has been good in that respect. So this year's trip should be fun. And hopefully we won't have any stories about running out of gas on the way home or being pulled over by the police. :)
