i saw the sky today and he looked suffocated. the greys were smothering him and i can't help but notice how tragically beautiful the ashes look fluttering all about our california sky.
oh, i wouldn't have left without you, x. &i'd still love to meet someday, too. in any case, it seems a waste not to use the distance (or lack thereof!). i've woken up too many days in a row to an ash covered porch and a smokey sky. it feels strange breathing now.
i'm well. quiet& withdrawn, but still breathing. still moving. and mostly unscathed, though for filthier lungs and shorter capacities.
