Thanks to becc_j for a mess of delicious, grungy brushes! Here's my spin on 'simple pleasures' for artpaperscissor...but really, just another excuse to paint backs. It's a thing for me, apparently.

Becc, I had so much fun with those brushes! (I used a few foliage brushes from chomaisky too, so thank you both!) I don't do much with landscapes, and this was the perfect opportunity to play with textures and a looser approach. Though I kinda got tight with the figs, argh; I had to use photoref, given their small scale and the time constraints. Ah well! Oh! And I think I might have actually made some headway in using that damned blender brush. Baby steps!

Thanks again, Becc. I really can't say it enough. You've been so kind!

You know what when you emailed me I thought you meant 'fig leaves' when you said 'figs' ...so hopefully my weird reply makes sense now...I do not know why I thought that way. I think it was because you mentioned a waterfall, so my mind just went waterfall>skinny dipping>fig leaves. Feel free to laugh. :)
I'm really glad you gave the landscape idea a go because I love the composition and environment, I'm glad the brushes were helpful, it's no problem. :)
The figures look great btw, the lighting and colours blend in really well so don't worry about it :)

Wow, that is absolutely gorgeous. I really like the shades of green and blue that you chose. It makes the piece very light and carefree. And you did very nice backs too! *g*

I'm glad you could participate in this round!

Yes, it's very cool to see what creative things people can come up with! I'm still holding out hope that someone will do like, a crafty or crochet thing for the challenge one of these days. That'd be fun! XD

This is so beautiful, and not just in the sense of perfect physique. This is what they should have in the future. This also looks like their own corner in heaven. And Dean leaping into the water, unburdened and free, makes me want to cry...
And the waterfall and rock and sky look great too. *wipes tears away*
