Okay, so this isn't about Supernatural, per se, but it's a podcast that addresses one of the BIG reasons I feel many post-Kripke episodes have not worked for me. (Disclaimer: I'm in it for the long haul, so no amount of complaint will tear me from my SPN.) It's also a podcast that all writers interested in improving their craft should listen to!
Writing Excuses: Cathartic Horror
Writing Excuses is a short, brilliant, enjoyable podcast that delves into All Things Genre Fiction. Listen to it while you're fixing dinner or doing dishes or what have you. This particular episode hits on exactly why many of the MotW eps have flopped, when some have succeeded wonderfully. It applies to all storytelling! Listen and learn. I swear by it.
